SENNOCKE CENTRE VISITORS: COVID-19 PROTOCOLS and TERMS of AGREEMENT
You must not come to the school if you, or anyone within your household are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, including, but not limited to, a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. Please refer to the government website for more details Gov.uk or contact NHS 111.
Unless exempt visitors over 11yrs must wear a face covering as soon as they enter campus. Swimmers face coverings are to remain in place until such time the swimmer begins the session.
All swimmers must arrive “swim ready” with swimming costumes underneath clothes, as normal changing facilities have been adapted.
Onesies or loose warm clothing are recommended as prompt changing will be necessary.
You are asked not to leave your vehicle or walk onto campus any earlier than 5 minutes prior to the agreed lesson time – immediate building access cannot be guaranteed for late arrivals, and with regret you should be aware this may affect your child’s lesson length.
You will be required to register upon arrival using the Sennocke Centre's authorised NHS Track and Trace QR-Code which will be displayed prior to entry. You may wish to download the NHS TRACK AND TRACE APP prior to arrival. Staff will be available for those who need support.
NEW ENTRANCE – SIDE DOOR. Please look out for signs as you make your way towards the building.
Please queue outside this door, be aware there is no canopy. Staff will be available for those who need support.
Swimmers will be permitted entrance via the side door 5 minutes prior to the lesson – Swimmers will be directed to a pre swim shower and onto the swimming lesson waiting area.
Any swimmers under the age of 8 must be assisted by a parent or guardian getting changed – parents/guardians must always wear a face mask and sanitise hands. Once the swimmer is safely on poolside, parents/guardians will be asked to return to their vehicles.
Parents/guardians will not remain in the building unless there are extenuating circumstances. Where extenuating circumstances apply please contact email@example.com in advance.
Parents/guardians will remain in their vehicles and ensure they can be contacted via mobile in the event of an emergency.
All users must sanitise hands using the sanitising station at the entry point of facility.
The participant may only be accompanied on campus by one other person. If siblings are also present, they must remain in the vehicle with appropriate supervision.
All swimmers will gain entry onto poolside through the female changing rooms (both genders).
Once swimmers have been allowed entry into the changing rooms in limited numbers, swimmers should remain 2m apart and remove any clothes, so they are swim ready and place belongings in their bag.
Bags should be placed outside of the shower while they have a quick rinse before collecting their bag and heading onto poolside, where they will be directed where to wait by a member of staff.
Swimmers should wait in the designated area with their bag where they will be collected by their swimming teacher and be taken to drop their bag off and start the swimming lesson.
Please do not bring any valuables.
- are expected to comply with all instructions to ensure, wherever possible, social distancing.
- should avoid touching surfaces where possible.
- must not share equipment with classmates.
- must bring their own hats and googles, as there can be no borrowing.
END OF THE LESSON
Teachers will dismiss swimmers when it is safe to do so to avoid large numbers gathering. Swimmers will collect their bags and queue outside the changing rooms.
A member of staff will limit numbers back into the changing rooms, as changing positions are limited to encourage social distancing. Genders will be split for getting changed after the session in the respective changing rooms.
Again, any swimmers under the age of 8 must be assisted by their parent or guardian getting changed after the session. Parents/guardians should come back down to the centre no earlier than the lesson finish time to allow the incoming groups to enter first. They will then be allowed access back into the changing rooms when their child has been let in.
Swimmers will NOT have access to showers after they have swum, we ask swimmers to use showers at home.
Swimmers will head inside one of the allocated changing rooms where individual zones are marked out for changing, it is recommended swimmers bring easy clothing to put on after the swim session to ensure it is only a brief time spent getting changed.
Swimmers and parents/guardians must leave the facilities as soon as possible once the swimmer is changed and should avoid conversation with all other persons if possible.
We kindly ask no teacher/parent communication, if any feedback or communication is wanted please email requests through to firstname.lastname@example.org
