May/June half term sports camps: all open to boys and girls

Sevenoaks Sports Camps at The Sennocke Centre promote sports performance, participation and wellbeing. We work hard to maximise the children's time and our resources, making best use of the space, expertise and wonderful facilities available at Sevenoaks School.

During our Sports Camps children may use some of the following facilities: our double sports hall, swimming pool, squash courts, astroturf and grass pitches, athletics track, dance studio, fitness suite, climbing wall and indoor and outdoor courts.

We focus our delivery on the concept of sportsmanship and teach that sport is about exceeding personal goals, making friends and trying new things.

And unlike some camps, we don't expect your children to stay outside for hours on end in all weathers.

Skills Development Camps

Our Skills Development Camps currently include sports such as rugby, squash, football and netball and are run by our resident sports professionals and qualified coaching staff, often in conjunction with coaches and players from elite level clubs.

These are aimed at children aged 8 to 18 of all abilities and focus on developing individual skills, match awareness, on-field leadership and a team ethos. Participants will learn from the wealth of experience our coaches have amassed over years of involvement in high-level sports. They will also receive expert athletic development advice delivered by our Strength & Conditioning Coach, ensuring that they benefit on and off the sports pitch. Many of our camps also include some time in the pool.

Junior Multi-Sports Camp

Designed by experienced coaches and childcare professionals, our three-day Junior Multi-Sports Camp, aimed at younger children, offers an interesting and diverse session, seeking to develop core skills and a sense of fun across a broad range of team and individual sports.

Taster Days

We are also keen to support the development of new sporting initiatives and are proud to offer Taster/Experience Days in a variety of sports, encouraging children to try new sports. These days are often designed and delivered in conjunction with the relevant National Governing Body.

Warm Up and Cool Down Clubs

We offer Warm Up and Cool Down clubs before and after each sports camp. These are optional, and will incur an additional cost of £5 per session.

They run from 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm. More information here.

All our staff and coaches hold the following:

  • A current enhanced DBS check & Child Protection & Safeguarding Children training.
  • A current First Aid qualification.
  • At least one level 1 coaching/teaching qualification.
  • All lead staff hold a level 2 coaching/teaching qualification.
  • Internal Continual Professional Development (CPD). This involves regular staff training, observations, qualification checks & reviews and client feedback.
  • Experience of working in a school.
